People who are always busy in the kitchen and people whose minds seem always pre-occupied by other things usually tend to forget about the kettle they have put on the stove to boil water, and would only remember about it after sometime when the water inside the kettle have already evaporated due to the heat. Thus, they prefer buying whistling tea kettles that produces whistling noise loud enough for them to hear when the water boils.

Many people today prefer electric kettles simply because these kinds of kettle do not need stoves to boil water. This means that they can take this type of kettle along with them when they travel and plug it in an electric outlet whenever they want to boil water. Electric kettles are also convenient to use since you can boil water even inside your own room or in the living room while you’re watching your favorite television program.
The electric kettle will automatically turn off when the water inside it reaches boiling point. This means the user will not have to deal with hot water spilling out of the kettle as it boils.
